We look for suitable candidates among the pick of the labour market who have the right skills and experience and can adapt quickly to a new organisation.

Obtaining that perfect match, no matter how difficult, is what we do best.

Although no two successful businesses are the same, what they have in common are talented people and effective teamwork.

Human capital is essential for the realisation of corporate objectives. We help businesses by advising them on how best to deploy their manpower to meet strategic challenges.

IT Skills brings people together

Founded at the turn of the century, IT Skills has fifteen years experience in bringing people together and has grown steadily to expand its operations across Europe. Our clients hail from the higher segment of the (international) business world and government, including:

We take pride in our transparent and expert way of working and seek to build up personal, long-lasting relationships with both our clients and candidates. Our extra attention to detail means we search for a perfect match, recruiting only motivated professionals who combine ambition with job satisfaction.

Services offered by IT Skills

The volatility of the contemporary labour market and the chain of developments in the IT sector put pressure on managers and entrepreneurs. They are faced with economic instability, technological developments, strong emerging competitors, reorganisations and unpredictable consumer behaviour. To meet these challenges, companies are obliged to deploy their personnel more effectively to maintain and increase their commercial clout and business results. That’s something we know all about and we’ll be pleased to help you develop your human capital.

IT Skills closely monitors trends, is familiar with the ins and outs of the labour market and disposes over a wide range of instruments to trace, evaluate and select for you, the best person for the job.

Clients

IT Skills: Because the whole is greater than the sum of its parts

Active in the IT sector since 2000, IT Skills has acquired a thorough understanding of the professional field and an awareness of the technical expertise and personal skills clients look for in a candidate. Whether you are searching for a highly technical professional, a team manager or a CIO, on an interim or permanent basis, IT Skills knows what is required of a candidate and is committed to finding that particular professional who is best suited to your organisation.

Work method

Preliminary screening

A preliminary screening takes place before every assignment, for both interim and search trajectories.

No matter how well we know a client, for each new assignment it’s important we understand exactly what is required, what responsibilities a position holds and how a candidate is expected to interact with other departments/teams.

For new clients we also need to gain insight into the culture and structure of the organisation and its work environment. All this information serves as a basis for finding a suitable candidate whose own potential and perspectives also play a defining role.

Search

To find suitable candidates, we conduct research and search activities.

Screening and selection

Our screening consists of structured in-depth interviews and personality tests.
After selection we compile a candidate profile for each prospective candidate.

Contract/ hiring and follow-up & support

During the entire recruitment process – the preliminary research, the selection process, contracting, hiring and the follow-up & support – IT Skills continues to fulfill its role as intermediary. The wishes of the client and the professional candidate are central to deciding which procedure should be followed.

Progress evaluation

After 2, 4 and 6 months, a progress evaluation will take place.

Ethics and integrity

IT Skills adheres to a strict code of practice:

Professionals successfully recruited through the mediation of IT Skills will not be approached for new or different vacancies.

If a professional takes the initiative to seek a new function and approaches IT Skills, we will first  request permission from the employer.

Naturally we don’t ‘head-hunt’ among our client’s staff. On the contrary, our practice of follow-up & support is an essential part of our recruiting and mediation procedure, which aims to secure and maintain positive and long-lasting relations with our clients and the professionals we recruit.

‘Experiences with IT Skills are very positive. Although limited requests to fulfill vacancies are done by Imtech, the performance of IT Skills was excellent. Continuation of cooperation with IT skills is recommended.’Bart Walraven, Manager Automation Competence Center, Imtech

Professionals

IT Skills finds the right person for the right function

Your personal and professional development and securing a suitable function for you are always the focal point of our recruitment mediation. Moreover, as a candidate you can be sure that we handle your particulars with the utmost discretion and never supply information to clients without your consent.

What can you expect from us? Guidance in six steps:

Step 1 Key competencies

Together we will determine if you satisfy the function requirements of the assignment or vacancy. These may relate to completed studies, extra training and specialist skills, work experience, age and domicile.

Step 2 Motivation

Your motivation is an important part of the selection procedure. Why does this function appeal to you? Why have you chosen to orientate yourself on the labour market? Do you want to leave your current employer or does this particular vacancy mean a subsequent step in your career?

Step 3 Career perspective

During our interviews we will take a deeper look at your career plans. How does your work fit into your life? What do you seek to achieve? With these questions in mind, we will consider if applying for a certain job is realistic and conforms to your personal circumstances and perspectives.

Step 4 Do you fit in with the organisation?

The question of which organisation best suits you is very important. You have expressed your wish to join a certain organisation (for an extended time). We therefore help you map the possible risks and your chance of success in the new position you aspire to, on the basis of your work history, experience with different corporate cultures and how you tackled past challenges.

Stap 5 Potential

What can you offer an organisation in the long term? We’ll deal with this question comprehensively during an in-depth interview.

Stap 6 Psychological examination

To assist the selection procedure, we offer you a standard personality test to improve your chance of success. In consultation with the client, it may be decided to invite you to undergo a further psychological examination or assessment.

IT Skills has made a perfect match when I was in between jobs. My experience, qualities and aspirations match completely with my current employ.Jerry Vanier, Teammanager Network Equens

“Going to work with a smile on your face”

According to one of our clients this should be a primary employment condition!
We can not agree more with that!!

About IT Skills

Vision

From experience we know that the ideal combination of ambition and job satisfaction makes employees perform to the best of their abilities and not only that; motivated specialists stay young. Part of our job is to stimulate people to discover and use their talents and thereby fulfill their potential. Our clients pick the fruits of these endeavors. We connect people. We find the right person for the right job, so that your organisation becomes stronger. Or we brainstorm with you about how the changes impacting your company can be effectively structured. Always with an eye towards your goals, with respect for people and appreciation of the inherent dynamism of ICT technology and its influence on our daily lives and society as a whole.

Nicolette Duijndam

With experience gained working for an Irish food company and her international business acumen, Nicolette Duijndam entered the recruitment and selection field in 1997. When the company she worked for was sold in 2000, the business savvy she had accumulated in three years emboldened her to start her own agency.

IT Skills

Originally a secondment agency, IT Skills gradually shifted its focus to recruitment and selection, executive search processes and organization consultancy. With a client base in government and the upper echelon of the business community and candidates recruited from the cream of the ICT sector, IT Skills is all about bringing parties together.

Intermediair

She’s known as a real ‘connector’, someone who finds the right person for the job. But as intermediary her work encompasses much more than finding and placing suitable candidates. Nicolette has established a well-maintained network of contacts.

She makes a point of familiarizing herself with a client’s business and assessing the organisational climate, knowing that corporate culture should not be underestimated and that not every vacant position is suited to any qualified candidate. Indeed, what matters is that client and candidate are on the same wavelength straight from the start. That’s why she carefully supervises the whole process.

Nicolette is reliable and highly competent in what she does and never loses sight of the human factor and how it relates to job satisfaction. She is convinced that sincere interest, empathy and taking time to listen to people from different corporate cultures are the foundations on which firm business relations are built.

Future

In the future IT Skills wants to focus on expanding its activities abroad. Sound expertise, attractive jobs and new challenges are not limited to The Netherlands. In addition, Nicolette will concentrate on organisation consultancy with special emphasis on organisation psychology.
